| HomeRun In-Home ABA Program |
|
► Initial meeting – The meeting is about an hour in length at the KCC and does not include the child. The HomeRun director will go over the details of the program, provide instruction in completing assessment paperwork, and answer any questions..
►Observation – The child is observed at home, school or during an occupational therapy and/or speech therapy session at the KCC. This helps the staff understand your child’s areas of strengths, challenges and current preferences.
►Training – The final step in preparation for the in-home program is the completion of training for parents, family members and the staff that you have hired to work with your child in the home. Instruction is completed over six hours at the KCC without the child present.
►Monthly Visits - Continuation and maintenance of your home program will require monthly visits in order to provide feedback, ongoing training, guidance regarding the direction of goals, and ensuring that progress is being made toward your child’s established goals. Follow-up visits generally occur in the home so that your child can be observed in the natural teaching/learning environment.
