Join Us at the KCC for a Free Autism Seminar on Self-Esteem

Author Ron Sandison will present “Building Self-Esteem in Your Child with Autism” on January 26 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. 


This seminar is designed for parents, caregivers, educators, therapists, social workers, and anyone interested in building self-esteem in a child living with autism.


Topics covered include:

  • Helping your child overcome “all-or-nothing” thinking
  • The impact of emotional memories on a child with autism’s self-esteem
  • Regulating emotions by understanding feelings and sensory issues
  • Developing confidence to cultivate and maintain healthy relationships
  • Freedom from obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors
  • Acceptance to be one’s self
  • Praise as a motivational tool for empowering your child


This seminar is presented by Ron Sandison, author of A Parent’s Guide to Autism, and an adult living with autism spectrum disorder.
