TrainIn Center-Based ABA Program

TrainIn is a four-week, intensive, center-based applied behavior analysis (ABA) program for young children on the autistic spectrum or other children experiencing language and learning challenges.

Based on the principles of ABA with a specialization in applied verbal behavior (AVB), this program includes both natural environment and intensive table teaching. The goal of TrainIn is to jump start each child’s speech and functional communication skills by creating individualized intervention programs that can be followed by families and support/educational staff.

A speech-language pathologist and board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) will oversee each child’s program. Programming is specifically designed for each child so that it can be transitioned to each child’s home/school setting at the program’s conclusion. This is an excellent opportunity for out-of-state families.

Tuition includes:

► One-on-one intervention, 2½ hours per day, five days a week, for four weeks. On one Friday of the four week session, there will be no intervention with the children.

► Administration of the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VBMAPP).

► Two individual one hour parent conferences. The first will discuss start-up goals and objectives, and the second will discuss intervention gains with recommended follow-up goals and objectives.

► One group parent meeting a week to provide general information on speech, language, and communication development, ABA/AVB and the associated principles and teaching procedures.

► Observation of intervention sessions at all times (parents may also videotape sessions).

► An intervention summary report providing initial assessment results, intervention gains, and suggested continued intervention goals.

► Three hours of follow up consultation time via conferences, videotapes, phone, or e-mail.
