We were absolutely thrilled with the conference and the techniques we learned. We are not professionals, but we do have a lot of experience with what does and doesn't work for our son. We started scripting immediately when we got home and we were amazed at his response. I did it rapidly as Nancy had suggested and with the goal of eliciting a lot of repetitions and success. I felt like I was a coach prodding him with each approximation and action word. Within a few minutes, he was going from 'ju' to 'I dink ju'. Amazingly, after multiple repetitions and reducing the cues, he came up with the sentence himself. We left the conference feeling empowered, excited,(slightly overwhelmed :-) ) but,finally on the same page as our therapist and able to see the big picture. I cannot thank you enough for your help and for allowing us, as parents, to learn the techniques.
